Documentary Film

Documentary films have always been one of my favorite film genres. Its not just very informative and inspirational, but it may emit emotion of happiness or sadness. A prime example of what makes a good documentary film inspirational includes touching the heart of the viewer which is presented in Valentino The Last Emperor.

Valentino The Last Emperor is a very inspirational documentary film I have recently watched. This documentary takes the viewer inside Valentino’s world of fashion from a perceptive view using the process of making garments and the business aspects of this fashion industry as well. I am at a lost for words because one would simply need to see this fine piece of film for themselves.

DUBSTEP?

Many may not know what Dubstep is, but it a music genre with a lot of bass. I first got introduced to it by a local Dj friend of mine since early 2009. It had been around since the early 2000 and a big scene in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. Its still pretty much a underground scene in my hometown. It would be great if my friend get booked in a venue. Pleased do check out what Dubstep is all about and if you happen to like this bass banging music then check out http://circdub.net/.

I’m Still Alive!

It had been awhile since I last blog. Sometime life just goes down hills but you will be climbing back up in no time. Resuming your daily life again but with a better out come. So to say, this is what going on with my site and to say that it’s still alive. The phrase Still Alive, remind me of the song by Metric “Help I’m  Alive”. Anyhow, check the band out for those who don’t know them. They are great and one of my many favorite band.

Merry Xmas!

Yesterday was a fun and exciting day for me in Hayward. I did not just get to see the bay area scenery but also to celebrate Christmas Eve with my love and his family. On the way there, I did not get to see much of the landscape since it was gloomy and foggy. Once we arrived, I had a wonderful experience getting to know his side of the family. They are warm and loving individuals that treasure family value more then any one I have known. We left Hayward in the late evening. The fog was so thick coming back to Sacramento, but we made it home and it was Christmas Day. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Resident Evil 5

My next step is to own a PlayStation 3 system, most of the good games I like to play are only released for PS3. One of the game is Resident Evil 5, which I been dying to play but have not yet own a PS3 system.

I am a fan of Resident Evil franchise and still is to these day. It all started when I first play Resident Evil 2. I do however regret not getting to play the first series of Resident Evil. At that time I guess my brother did not get the chance to grab a hold of a copy. I even try to find a copy back then in game shop with no luck what so ever. But now with the evolved Internet, finding almost about anything is easy as snapping your finger.

I can now get a copy of Resident Evil 1 but the PlayStation 1 my brother had probably does not work properly anymore. If I really wanted to play Resident Evil 1 then I should play Resident Evil Zero which is a remake released for Nintendo GameCube. However, I only like to stick to one system which is PS. As for the movies that came out, the only one that I have not yet to watch is the fourth instalment, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D. I am still waiting to watch it from IMAX to get the 3D experience but is not currently playing in my area (Image taken from videogamesblogger.com).

For those who want to take a quick peek about what Resident Evil is all about, check out this cool article IGN Presents The History of Resident Evil.

Dreams

Lately I have dreams about my old house that I had lived for 14 years. What is weird that each time I dream of my old house, there are people in my old house that I don’t even know. Sometime those people in the dreams made me feel strange and unfamiliar. It like they are invading my house. On the other hand sometime I feel like I am familiar and friendly with them but never seen them before. Possibly people I known from pass life…..anything is possible. These dreams leaving me curiously with unsettled feeling. So I did some research about dream interpretation on several site and I come upon this site: http://www.dreamdictionaryforfree.com. It like a dictionary that gives definition on dreams. I was amazed on how it break down and give explanation about my dreams. Now I feel more at ease knowing about it and moving on with my daily life. Here is something interesting to watch from YouTube about dream interpretation with dream expert Lauri Loewenberg.

Duct Tape Dress Form

After 2 1/2 hours, I had finish a dress form made out of duct tape for my sister. Since I will be sewing her a dress for her prom. It’s not complete yet for I still need to stuff it with poly batting. I have been meaning to get this duct tape dress form project done a long time like last year. But now since I have a lot of times in my hand, I’m able to get all my pass projects up and running before the start of the new year. I’m surprise I only needed one roll of 50 yard duct tape for my sister. I only used less then 2 yard on the second roll for touch up. When I’m done with the dress form, I’ll have the picture post up.

If anyone is interested in making yourself a duct tape dress form! I have linked these videos from YouTube on how to:

Laid Off

It’s been two weeks now, since I get laid off from my first restaurant job. I’ve been depressed over it for the past week. But it’s not doing me any good. I gained a few pounds back and on top of that I need to be focus in school. Balancing everything in my life is one heck of a challenge. Well looking at the positive aspects, I had learn a lot  about running a business in general especially in management. I think the restaurant owner have to shut down their business due to lack of management and passion only after 10 months. In the mean time I’m just trying to evaluate what is my next focus of things to do. Maybe I should start finishing up my past sewing projects since I started last year. That should keep my mind busy and looking for a job that fits me. I really hate the idea of just getting a job because you need the money to pay the bills. But can’t be too picky now since getting even any kind of jobs is scarce.

Back to School!

OMG! Today is my first day at school and it is like hell break loose or something. I have not been back to college for the longest time (4 years). I just had graduated last year with a Fashion Design and Marketing degree from a private college. I am now back to school majoring in Business and Cosmetology. Anyhow, the awful traffics at the school parking lots turned  into a battle ground where every students is fighting for their parking spot. I didn’t made it to my first class and end up dropping the class. After thinking about it, I don’t think I can handle 13 units for this semester. What best for me is to take it slow and 10 units is quite a hand full already.
